Not Your Garden Variety Theater program (ages 4-17) provides intervention that addresses the core social deficits of children and adolescents affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The program is divided into three groups by ages.
N.Y.G.V.T. teaches children and adolescents the skills and communication techniques necessary to function optimally in play and integrated social settings. This is achieved through role-playing, performing art, music, theater activities, sensory exploration, and peer collaboration. Participants will be part of the final production. Summer theater to be extended as we grow to include Winter and Spring productions.
